Phantom of the Opera

Facts & Figures

The show was unbelievable, spectacular ! Costumes, backdrop... magnificent ! Except for one thing that spoiled the whole event. We were having a row at each other... sigh. I know I should have given in as it was we were celebrating his birthday.

My First Aroma Coffee Festival

Sydney's popular outdoor shopping market, The Rocks, hosts an all-day coffee festival. Australia's coffee makers ply their wares for only A$1 a cup, demonstrate how to make the perfect brew and give away plenty of coffee-related freebies.

There's also stuff for the kids - "babycinos", street theater, face painting and balloon sculpting - while the organisers promise the best in Australian music. There's an expo of the very best coffee machines on the market, while further workshops teach you how to choose your coffee beans and make the dream blend.

With 100,000 attending the event last year, this is a definitely a day to get hyper about.

The Rocks Aroma Coffee Festival is the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. With Australians consuming an average of 2.4kg of coffee per person per year, it’s no wonder a celebration of coffee is one of the biggest events on the Sydney calendar.

Coffee roasters from around Australia offer their specialty brews for as little as $1 per cup. With a backdrop of entertainment and supporting products, Aroma Coffee Festival offers all coffee aficionados an opportunity to taste Australia’s best.

Highlights include free live entertainment on several stages, a display of the latest domestic coffee equipment and workshops by Australia’s leading baristas and industry experts.
