My First Baby Jealousy

Potential Babysitter ?
I think Kwan is feeling the same but certainly for me !

Last Saturday, I met up with Uncle Steve and Gan for lunch. Saturday's is usually my turn to be a full-time parent... my bonding session with Eliya :) So I brought Eliya along with fingers crossed hoping she will behave herself.

Eliya was an absolute ANGEL ! Not a single squeak, winged nor demand. Uncle Steve had her all under control. She even held his hand while walking.... that she NEVER does with mummy or daddy. It was unbelievable. Uncle Steve offered his hand and she held until she got tired as Uncle Steve's hand was very high for her to reach.

I offered my hand later... she would just turn away and run wherever that catches her eye... sigh...

Baby Eliya @ 14 & 15 months

First she will give you the sad-puppy-dog-eyes. Then followed by small winging cries. If there is no reaction, loud  siren cries will be next.
WELCOME to toddler-hood !

Outfit from Great-grandma

Eliya's first strawberry and cherry indulgence. She LOVES it !

Adults version of strawberries and cherries indulgence, so very sinful. By the way... the melted chocolate fondue is  home-made. Surprisingly so EASY and so much cheaper, especially using the good quality chocolates. YUMS !

I wonder where and how she inherited the cheeky nature
My little red-riding-hood adores cats and dogs

First time Eliya ate the whole meal all by herself... YIPEE !

My First Horsey

During my trip back home in Dec last year, to my surprise Mom kept Mr Horsey is spanking new condition. Dear Mr Horsey is 35 years old ! I lug back in 7 hours journey to Sydney for Eliya to play. The next couple of weeks, Eliya destroyed Mr Horsey. I was so heartbroken. Poor Mr Horsey... I need to get super good glue and try put Mr Horsey together again.

Toy these day are not made to last like the ones I've played with when I was much younger.

My First Chocolate Cake and Birthday Celebrations

It's now August. And now I'm putting a blog post for May, June and July birthday celebration. How time flies...

Birthday celebration is a little different now. We are more focused on baby's celebration. And the parent's birthday will probably slip through.

Birthday celebrations is now back-to-back. May month is for our little princess, June will be mine and July is Kyle's.

Eliya's playgroup had a birthday party in a nearby park for all babies. We laid out our picnic blankets, drop all the kids on the mat and spread out the toys to keep them busy. All bubs were so preoccupied and their parents had a nice time catching up with other mommies and daddies.... except for dear Eliya. She and another baby boy were the only bubs who were walking (in Eliya's case... RUNNING). Eliya is a curious and adventurous child. In a blink of an eye, she will be some where in the park.

It was really a challenge to line all babies for photo session... especially Eliya. The party was fun. All kids had a great time. I could see the sparkle in their eyes when they rip the wrapping paper revealing a brand new TOY!
My birthday celebration was on a quiet side. We had pancakes for brekkie and later dinner time, a few friend came over with a flower pot (the plant had short life...) and a tiramisu cake. My favourite !
Kyle's birthday was even more quiet. We kept it hush-hush as he reached his big FOUR-ZERO ! It was my first time baking a chocolate cake. Turns out pretty moist. But not enough chocolate ganache...The ganache was suppose to be dripping down the cake. I was licking the bowl and stirring spoon. Mental note: always prepare more chocolate, there is always room for more CHOCOLATE.
