It's Flu Season

Swollen weeping eyes, nose like a burst pipe, sneezing constantly, irritated throat, cold hands & feet and it's winter here to top it off. Why my flu has to start on a lovely weekend????? A time to call my own. A time to enjoy a lovely outdoor. Instead I'm stuck at home nurturing this sickness... Why Why Why ??? It was a choice made, the company was organising free flu shots. I chose... I chose not to take the injection. My opinion then, "Let nature takes its course"... sigh.... now I wish I could have taken the flu shot. Bummer!

My Birthday in Sydney

Last year's buttday... oops... birthday celebration was a really memorable day... no family & friends warmth, no love ones around. I was in Sydney all alone in an empty apartment, no furniture, cold... sigh... only warmth I got was the heater, 2 heaters actually, side by side next to my inflated camping mattress. That was my 31st birthday.

My PADI Qualification

Today I've completed my open water PADI cert. YIPEE !!!! This New Year Resolution has been sitting on my list every year for a numbers of years. At last, my underwater adventure BEGINS TODAY !

I was diving at Camp Cove, Watson's Bay, not the best under water scene in town. On the positive side, at least I've set my expectation low :-) Did the cert with a friend whose name is Lyn... hehehe... What a coincidence ! Another thing, it's now winter time. Yup, the water is blardi chilly! But not as freezing as I thought it would be. But the time to wait for the water in the wet suit to warm up with body heat is the worst bit. Weather is not just cold, the long weekend holiday was stricken with rain... sigh... Thank Goodness it is not those pouring rain back home... phew!

Doing his certification brought back fond memories of the LMAP instructor cert for BB & BC. Whole body aching and blistered. So relieved that is it over.
