My First Food Craving

Now that my nausea has some what subsided, I've been stuffing my face like no tomorrow. All my clothes are just too tight. So I'm heading back to KL for a big SHOPPING SPREE and some pampering spa... I'm so looking forward to this... :)

Back to the food craving bit. My daily diet has always been no meat. Seafood mainly fish is the source of my protein intake. Now that I'm pregnant, not all type of fish I can consume and my taste buds is kinda out of whack since falling into mommy-to-be mode. Food just tastes so blend.... So poor hubby have to crack his head whipping out tastier meals :)

However lately I had a craving for this :

    CHICKEN BURGER !!!!

I blame it on Kyle, his kid. Gosh... The craving was terribly unbearable. My mind keeps on visualising that dish even at work. I was so tempted to drive to the nearest fast food  joint and grab a burger, without anyone looking, very similar to an eating disorder is it ? And watching TV adverts on burgers was REALLY not helping at all !!! So last few weeks ago, I gave in , I shank my teeth into my first chicken burger after 17 years of not eating chicken with absolute pleasure.

Last weekend, we met up Ision and Kim for yum cha. It was our dear Kim's birthday, and he was allowing himself to having some sinfully oily dim sum :-). I told them about my food craving. a

Ision: "Well...that's normal darling..."
Me: "But DUH !! I don't eat meat, remember"
Ision: (with eyes widely open like about to pop out) "Oh..... that's bad....

Saturday night, we were invited to Veronica's place for a Malaysian feast. She made nasi lemak and satay. I just couldn't believe myself, without any guilt and hands were reaching for a chicken satay and with delight some roasted chicken wings!!!!

I thought the chick craving was satisfied, from Saturday nights dinner. Came yesterday while doing our weekly grocery shopping, unconsciously, I suggested to Kyle to make roast chicken wings again and invite some neighbourhood friends over for dinner. There goes hubby being the  happiest gracious dinner host bought the ingredients and I invited the guests. He made honey roast wings. All the guests were just looking at me eating the wings like a barbarian.... LOL

I guess this craving will never stop until the baby is pop out... sigh.... it's gonna be a long journey to go through...

Those chicken wings look so good, even I am craving them now; legs and wings are my favourite part of the chicken.

And I guess your body is telling you that you need meat protein, unfortunately.
